UPN operates five membership-based peer groups devoted to networking, educating and
advocacy:  one for utilities involved with advanced metering and smartgrid; one for large energy users; one for leaders in utility energy efficiency programs; one for leaders in utility renewable energy initiatives; and
one for utility professionals involved with CIS/CRM and customer care.


 

Our first peer group for professionals managing CIS, CRM and specific customer care functions at
utilities globally is known as:

The Utility Customer Experience Consortium
...a facilitated peer group for utility business and information technology customer care professionals only


Our second consortium that networks professionals managing energy decisions in large commercial/industrial corporations, founded in 1993, is known as:

The Energy Managers Special Interest Group (SIG)
...a facilitated peer group for corporate energy and facility managers only


Three new unique consortia were launched in 2007:

The Global Smartgrid/AMI Utility Peer Group
...a facilitated peer group for utilities involved with advanced metering and Smart Grid

The Utility Energy Efficiency Peer Group
...a facilitated peer group only open to a handful of selected utility leaders in this topic area

The Utility Renewable Energy Peer Group
...a facilitated peer group only open to a handful of selected utility leaders in this topic area


Information on the first two groups can be found on this web site.  Information on the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Peer Groups is only made available to member utilities on password-protected web sites, as membership in these groups is highly selective/restricted.  The Global Smartgrid/AMI Utility Peer Group, has its own web site at www.smartgridpeergroup.com.
